Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei – A Novel Packed With Great Characters

As Kaneki disappeared in the Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei light novel series, the police get somehow confused, too. However, in comparison to Toka, they still develop to a considerable extent. As in the first season, Amon the investigator was probably the character that had the most screentime, just besides the deceased partner of his. The series continues to spend much of its screen time to explore the motives of the police by introducing new characters and using the old ones, the way the Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei did.
Amon the investigator spends a lot of his time, and our time, to develop a relationship with the daughter of his deceased partner, the girl named Akira. This girl showed us what it was like to be a daughter of a pair of parents that constantly saving the world. But she did not hold any grudge, she wants to do what her father did by learning through Amon. Then, it only makes perfect senses that Akira falls for the man who takes up to her father the most.
Juzo, a psychopathic teenager also has a lot of screentime here. He enjoys killing Ghouls, and he would kill any Ghouls even if that was an old friend of his. This boy was raised by ghouls in the past, and they made him into their pet, their participant for sports, therefore it also makes sense that he can not connect to the humans, the same way the hero in Douluo dalu novel does. Somehow, there is stills some good new as the senior detective has succeed in forming a father-son like a relationship with him. He is crazy, sure, but now we know where these disturbances come from, and how complex this deep character is.
With all of this said, we don’t need to say no more about how Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei light novels are packed with great characters, each of which is given enough screentime and development.
